Mike has been installing the Solatube Daylighting Device and has been a HomeTech licensee since 2001 – proving his passion for and belief in the benefits of the Solatube Daylighting Device. Mike was born and bred in Hawkes Bay and he was drawn back to the Bay from Auckland in 1997.

Mike loves the Hawkes Bay climate, lifestyle and rivers for another passion of his trout fishing. Mike has recently taken up cycling so watch out for him on those Tuki Tuki Hills! Mike, wife Nicky and three daughters live on a lifestyle block just out of Clive.
Mike has thirty years experience in the building industry and being qualified builder adds to his competence and finesse as a Solatube Certified Installation Consultant (CIC). Mike’s height is also an advantage being over 6 feet tall! In most homes, he can reach your ceiling without a ladder – great for giving you an idea of how the Designer Touches range of daylight diffusers for your ceiling will look!

His height was also of advantage to Mike at the 1982 Commonwealth Games where he won GOLD in Javelin (athletics). Mike also won SILVER at the 1978 Commonwealth Games and the 1981 World Athletic Championships.

Mike is truly an expert in his field and knows first hand what it is like to live and raise a family in the Bay. He is dedicated to providing you the worlds leading daylighting solution.
