Recent trends see New Zealand homes being built with a range of product to achieve airtightness. While this does improve the energy-efficiency of homes, it also means less air circulation and a decline in “inside” air quality, especially in winter months.

“The quality of the air inside the home can be worse than people think,” says Mike Wiggins, CEO of Beam New Zealand. Cooking fumes, aerosols, animal dander and dust mites can all be present in the air that occupants breathe. “There is dust circulating all the time (you can see it in the sunlight!) and, it is being breathed in,” explains Wiggins. “That is not good if people living there who suffer from things such as Asthma or allergies.”

“While standard vacuum cleaners do capture larger dirt and dust particles, the smallest particles can pass through the system and be reintroduced into the air, that is what you are breathing!”

Wiggins explains that studies by the NZ Asthma Foundation show that Asthma and allergies is an ongoing problem and effects 20% of the NZ population.

Wiggins very passionately explains that “The Beam by Electrolux Built- In Vacuum System is designed to solve this problem by removing dirt, dust and allergens away from living areas, ensuring clean, healthy air for the occupants. It also means other products like DV air systems, heat pumps and air conditioners who all need filters, operate more efficiently”.

“The Beam Alliance system has been awarded 2 prestigious International “Plus X Awards” firstly for innovation, quality, design, ease of use and functionality and then the overall award for
“Product of the Year”.

“The effectiveness of the system in reducing Asthma and allergy symptoms is backed up by clinically proven independent testing and is further recognized by the Asthma Foundation NZ as the only recommended built-in vacuum system and has awarded Beam NZ with its ‘Sensitive Choice’ approval” says Wiggins

Very powerful endorsements indeed!

The Beam Alliance is super quiet and features a new powerful HE motor with suction up to five times stronger than standard vacuum systems to effectively remove dust, dirt and allergens from the home.

Key to improving the air quality of homes is the vacuum’s patented Gore-Tex™, HEPA standard, self-cleaning filter. “It stops more than 98% of dust leaving the system,” explains Wiggins. “So what comes out is pure air.”

Each Alliance system has a 10 year warranty and Beam NZ is still servicing some of their machines after 25years!

Beam by Electrolux, built in vacuum systems have been installed in over 35,000 Homes in New Zealand and are the only CV company to install the same brand of machine for over 30 years.

When you look at the minimal outlay for the length of time you have the system, the convenience, the quietness, the cleaning power, the health of your family and the pride of ownership, a Beam Built-In vacuum system is simply an investment in your home!

BEAM’s built in Vacuum systems are designed to remove 100% of contacted dirt, dust and allergens away from living areas, ensuring cleaner, healthier homes. They can be fitted to new homes or retro fitted to existing homes.
