Creating healthy homes with SmartVent Home Ventilation Systems

Creating healthy homes with SmartVent Home Ventilation Systems
March 20, 2017

Building a new home or renovating an existing one takes a considerable amount of planning. There are so many things to consider … bench surfaces, appliances, wall colours, tile and carpet colours … the list goes on.

And today’s homeowner is interested in more than aesthetics, they also want their home to function as a safe and healthy environment for their family. In addition to good insulation, ventilation is vital to circulate fresh air and prevent moisture being trapped in homes that are quite often closed up all day.

SmartVent, New Zealand’s home ventilation specialists, offer a range of solutions to improve the air quality within the home.

Positive Pressure

The SmartVent Positive system draws in fresh, drier air from either the roof cavity, or from outside, with the optional Second Air Source kit.

Air is passed through a filter and introduced into the home. This process positively pressurises the home creating air circulation and forcing out the moist, stale air that causes condensation, mould and mildew.

SmartVent Evolve offers unique temperature and humidity sensor technology to monitor conditions in the home. View the readings on the 7” Android tablet as your SmartVent works to reduce condensation.

Energy Recovery

SmartVent Synergy, is an energy recovery Ventilation system capable of extracting stale, moisture-laden air from inside the home and bringing in fresher, drier air simultaneously. Energy recovery is an extremely efficient way to re-use some of the energy that has already been paid for.

Now with the advanced temperature and humidity sensor technology – Synergy Evolve is designed to deliver optimal ventilation and comfort as conditions change in and around your home. The Android tablet lets you see the climate readings and your current system settings.

Synergy Evolve is suitable for use with most heating sources so heat efficiency can be optimised. This system is especially suitable for colder climates, such as parts of the South Island, where outdoor temperatures are considerably lower than heated indoor temperatures. Systems come in various sizes for homes up to 150, 250 and 350sqm.

Why choose SmartVent?

  • SmartVent systems use proprietary control systems designed in New Zealand for New Zealand conditions.
  • We use insulated and acoustic ducting, which reduces air transfer noise and retains the temperature of the air, either warm or cool.
  • High quality F7 grade filters capture airborne particles such as dust, pollen and mould spores that can exacerbate asthma and other respiratory illnesses.
  • SmartVent offers a range of clever upgrades such as Heat Transfer Summer Feature, Inline and PTC Room heaters as well as extension kits.
