Sierra Terraces, Jalcon Homes’ latest release, includes a range of affordable housing that makes creative use of smaller land sizes.

The precinct consists of 39 dwellings and will include six single-level, 1.5 bedroom [one double plus single bedroom/study] “Axis” homes at $399,000, as well as six two-bedroom, two-storey walk-up apartments at $485,000 each.

Bruce McKinnon, CEO of Jalcon Homes, says: “This home style is a new typology for Auckland that has been very successful in Australia. It enables better land utilisation, as we can achieve four homes on a similar area as two would have fitted before, and therefore improve housing affordability.

“We look forward to satisfying dozens of eager first-home buyers, as we have more than 200 registered parties for affordable homes in the new Sierra Terraces precinct.”

The release also has larger two and three-bedroom properties, providing options for a variety of budgets and needs.

Jalcon Homes has sold 79 homes at Hobsonville Point, with a further 50 to go on to the market before Christmas. One quarter are defined as “affordable” under Government criteria.
