Spring cleaning your drawers is easy with Hettich!
September 13, 2016

The kitchen is a hub of creativity, but it also gets dirty and messy very quickly. Whilst the floors and surfaces are easy to clean, things like drawers can be slightly more time consuming and fiddly.

One of the many benefits of Hettich drawer systems is that they are extremely easy to look after. All Hettich drawers can be removed from the runners with one click and a lift. You can also remove the drawer front, again with a simple button press and lift.

Drawer removal: open all the way, push in plastic release buttons in the runner, and pull diagonally upwards towards you.

To put the drawer back, place on the runner, gently push in straight until you hear a click, then open the drawer again and close to hear a second click.

Front panel disassembly: remove cover cap, press blue release buttons, and pull front panel up and off.

With the drawer front removed, you can easily wipe out crumbs and dust without it getting stuck in corners.

Plus Hettich drawer sides have a lip that comes out over the base of the drawer, which helps make cleaning quick and easy as crumbs and dust can’t get stuck between the side and the base.

Front panel assembly: fit into the drawer front connectors from above, firmly press down into place until you hear a click on each side.

The best products to clean the drawers and internal organisers are:

  • A Soft, non-linting cloth and a water-soluble, mild cleaning agent, such as liquid or neutral soap.
  • Do not use any abrasive cleaners/sponge succourers, paint thinners or irritant/corrosive chemicals as they may damage the surfaces over the long term.
  • In general, stains should be removed as quickly as possible to prevent them from working into the surfaces.
  • The plastic interior organisers are dishwasher safe.
