Planting
When selecting plants for your garden be mindful of where in your garden you intend on planting the plant as some may require more sunlight while others may require more water.
While it helps to have an idea of the type of plant you are after talk to your local garden centre to establish if the plants will work for your home. For example if a tree has a large root system when fully grown it may go in search of water and find your home plumbing system which can be a costly exercise.
Also ensure you are not buying a tree that will grow too high and block the sunlight from your home.
Finally read about how to maintain and fertilise your plants to ensure you get the most out of your garden in years to come.
