Exterior Windows
When choosing windows for your home first and foremost consider the function of the space. Ensure any windows open out the right way, in some cases a sliding window may be the most appropriate.
If you are not a fan of condensation on your windows then double-glazed windows with thermally broken joinery is probably the best option for you. Thermally broken joinery is 64% more efficient than standard joinery. It will help reduce the amount of condensation around your windows.
Double-glazed windows are 73% warmer compared to single-glazed windows and they are also a lot stronger.
You can still achieve a wooden look and get the benefits of thermally broken joinery. There are many styles of windows available so do your research and you can create a look that is in keeping with the age and style of your home.
